Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice describes how StoneBuilt (“StoneBuilt,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information collected through this website and through communications that begin on this website. It applies to prospective and current residential and commercial clients, vendors, job applicants and other website visitors in the United States.

Information we collect

  • Information you provide: your name, email address, telephone number, property or project location, project details, photographs or plans you choose to send, preferred contact method and the contents of your communications.
  • Project and business information: estimates requested, services of interest, appointment details, transaction and contract-related information when you become a client.
  • Technical information: internet protocol address, browser and device type, referring page, pages requested, timestamps, approximate location derived from an IP address and security or server-log information generated when the site is accessed.
  • Applicant or vendor information: professional, employment, insurance, licensing, payment or tax information if you separately apply for work or seek to provide services. Please do not send Social Security numbers, financial account numbers or other sensitive information through ordinary email.

How we use information

We use personal information to respond to inquiries; schedule consultations; prepare designs, estimates and proposals; provide and improve services; communicate about projects; manage client and vendor relationships; protect the website and our business; prevent fraud; maintain records; comply with licensing, tax, legal and insurance obligations; and establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

How we disclose information

We may disclose information to website hosting, email, communications, analytics, payment, document-storage and other service providers that perform services for us; to professional advisers, insurers, subcontractors or suppliers when reasonably necessary for a project; to government or regulatory authorities when required; and in connection with a merger, financing, sale or transfer of all or part of the business. We require service providers to use information only for authorized purposes where required by law.

No sale of personal information. StoneBuilt does not sell personal information for money. This website, as currently configured, does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising and does not use advertising cookies.

Retention and security

We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including project records, warranty needs, legal obligations, dispute resolution and enforcement of agreements. Retention periods vary by record type. We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Children

This website is intended for adults seeking construction and landscape services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 and do not knowingly sell or share personal information of consumers under 16.

Third-party websites

Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience. Their privacy and security practices are governed by their own policies, not this notice.

  • Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
  • Request deletion of personal information, subject to legal exceptions.

03 — United States

Other U.S. State Privacy Rights

Depending on your state and whether its law applies to StoneBuilt, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a portable copy of personal data; opt out of its sale, targeted advertising or certain profiling; and appeal a denied privacy request.

Use the project request form or phone number above to submit a request. For an appeal, use the project request form and explain why you believe the decision should be reconsidered. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a right provided by applicable law.

04 — Technology

Cookies, Tracking and Preference Signals

This website does not currently use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. Our hosting provider may use strictly necessary technologies and server logs to deliver and secure the site. If analytics or other optional technologies are added, this notice will be updated and any legally required choice mechanism will be provided.

Some browsers send “Do Not Track” signals. Because there is no single accepted technical standard for those signals, the site does not currently respond to them separately. Where applicable law requires recognition of an opt-out preference signal, such as Global Privacy Control, we will treat a recognized signal as a valid opt-out request for that browser or device.

05 — Website Terms

Terms of Use

By using this website, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Informational purpose only

Website content is general information and may change without notice. Photographs, renderings, plans, product references, project descriptions and cost information are illustrative. Materials, site conditions, permits, engineering, availability and final results vary. Nothing on this website is an offer, construction contract, warranty, professional engineering opinion or binding estimate.

Projects require a written agreement

Services, pricing, schedules, scope, warranties and responsibilities are governed only by a signed written agreement between StoneBuilt and the client. Email, website content, preliminary discussions and informal estimates do not modify a signed agreement.

Ownership and permitted use

Unless otherwise stated, the website’s text, branding, layouts, photographs, graphics and other content are owned by or licensed to StoneBuilt and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may view and print content for your personal evaluation of our services. You may not reproduce, republish, sell, scrape, alter or commercially use it without prior written permission.

Prohibited activity

You may not interfere with the site, attempt unauthorized access, introduce malicious code, misrepresent your identity, use automated systems to extract content, violate another person’s rights or use the site for unlawful purposes.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted access, error-free operation, accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, StoneBuilt will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from website use or inability to use the website. These limitations do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be limited or waived.

Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by California law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute relating solely to website use will be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in Contra Costa County, California, unless applicable law requires otherwise. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. We may update this page by posting a revised effective date.
